Dionne Warwick Cancels Carnegie Hall Performance Due to Severe Pain

Legendary singer Dionne Warwick, 85, was forced to cancel a scheduled performance at Carnegie Hall due to severe pain in her leg and foot, according to Page Six. Warwick expressed her apologies to fans, stating, “My leg and foot would not allow me to stand nor walk at the moment.”

She was slated to appear at the Deborah Silver & Fabulous Friends: Voices for ALS charity benefit at Zankel Hall in New York City. Warwick emphasized that her inability to perform was solely due to her physical condition, explaining, “only the pain and inability to stand or walk is the reason for my absence.”

The five-time Grammy winner has a long history of performing at Carnegie Hall throughout her decades-spanning career. She had previously undergone emergency leg surgery in September 2025 due to what she described as "unbearable" pain, though she had assured fans at the time that her recovery was progressing well.

Marilyn Maye, a cabaret veteran, reportedly stepped in to perform at the event alongside artists such as Jon Secada, his daughter Mikaela Secada, and jazz singer Stella Cole. The event was organized by Deborah Silver and her husband, who covered all production costs and performer fees to ensure that every ticket dollar raised would benefit ALS research. Warwick's career includes numerous hit songs such as "Walk On By," "I Say a Little Prayer," and "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.
