Diddy Injured in Prison Brawl Over Alleged Lavish Lifestyle
Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs reportedly sustained a head injury during an altercation with drug lord Christopher 'Dudus' Coke at FCI Fort Dix.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs sustained a recent head injury during a brawl with Jamaican drug lord Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, sources have claimed. Combs, 56, was taken from the federal prison in New Jersey to a hospital on Saturday morning after the incident.
Insiders allege that Coke was angered by recent reports of Combs' alleged 'VIP' lifestyle within the prison. These reports, citing NBC News, suggested Combs was receiving preferential treatment, which allegedly led to prison raids and the confiscation of phones from Coke and other inmates, according to TMZ.
Coke, who led the Shower Posse gang, was sentenced to 23 years in prison in 2012 after pleading guilty to drug and gun-trafficking charges in the U.S. He was extradited following a significant operation in Jamaica.
Combs himself was acquitted in July of sex trafficking and racketeering charges, but was found guilty of two lesser charges related to transportation for prostitution. He was taken to a hospital via ambulance and was reportedly conscious and speaking upon his return to the prison before sunrise.
Diddy's spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, stated, "We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out."
Combs' release date has been adjusted multiple times. Federal Bureau of Prisons records indicate a new release date of March 2, 2028, six weeks later than his previous scheduled release of January 21, 2028. This adjustment follows reports that Combs was placed in solitary confinement amid investigations into alleged lavish treatment he was receiving.
According to People, Combs remains in solitary confinement. The Bureau of Prisons stated, "For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for any incarcerated individual, including reasons for a change in release date."
The reports of special treatment, including massages and access to contraband items, emerged after Combs was returned to solitary confinement following a previous fight with another inmate in July. His representative has stated that they cannot independently verify these rumors. While prison officials indicated that solitary confinement is standard procedure during an investigation, it remains unclear if an investigation is ongoing.
According to former inmates interviewed by NBC News, Combs allegedly enjoyed smuggled liquor, purchased antidepressants from fellow inmates, and had others manage his mail and phone. The cost of this lifestyle is reportedly thousands of dollars per month, funded by individuals outside the prison who replenish commissary accounts for inmates working for Combs.
