Disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly not experiencing a typical prison sentence, according to a report from NBC News.
Combs has allegedly cultivated a comfortable lifestyle within New Jersey’s Fort Dix correctional institution. Sources claim that fellow inmates cater to his basic needs, and he has reportedly accessed contraband liquor and a cellphone. One individual who shared a unit with Combs described the situation as "some rich shit."
Combs, who is serving a 50-month sentence for prostitution-related offenses, is said to pay inmates for tasks such as cooking, making his bed, and doing his laundry. He has also reportedly received "Chinese-style massages."
Beyond these services, insiders allege Combs has access to contraband cellphones. He reportedly uses these devices to check social media and receive sexually explicit photos from a former girlfriend, in violation of federal regulations.
Additionally, he is said to possess a supply of premium liquor, smuggled in by guards, which he occasionally shares with a select group of inmates. One individual confirmed drinking Hennessy with Combs.
Maintaining this lifestyle is reportedly costly, with sources indicating Combs spends thousands of dollars monthly to have outside associates fund commissary accounts for inmates providing these services.
Reports of Combs' privileged prison life may have impacted his situation. TMZ reported that multiple sources indicated Combs had been moved to solitary confinement following these revelations.
A representative for Combs dismissed the accounts as sensationalized media coverage. "The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news," the representative stated to NBC News. "The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence while awaiting the court’s decision on his appeal."
