Dick Van Dyke, the iconic actor who celebrated his 100th birthday in December, recently demonstrated his continued physical vitality in an Instagram video. The clip shows Van Dyke executing a routine on a workout inversion table, highlighting his flexibility. He is seen balancing on the table with his hands behind his back while lying horizontally, dressed in a white t-shirt, gray sweatpants, and slippers.
"1/2 workout inversion table," Van Dyke captioned the video, adding the hashtag "#keepmoving." The post quickly garnered praise from fans who expressed admiration for his agility and fitness level at his age. Many commented that the video served as motivation for them to exercise.
Van Dyke has previously spoken about the importance of physical fitness in maintaining his health and longevity. In January 2025, he shared on Ted Danson’s podcast, “Where Everybody Knows Your Name,” that he has consistently exercised three days a week. He also mentioned that he and his wife, Arlene Silver, continue to go to the gym, which he believes contributes to his physical well-being.
His exercise regimen includes stretching, sit-ups, and yoga. Despite acknowledging the challenges of aging, such as vision and hearing impairments and foot problems, Van Dyke has maintained a positive outlook. He has stated that he "stubbornly refused to give into the bad stuff in life: failures and defeats, personal losses, loneliness and bitterness, the physical and emotional pains of aging.” He also expressed that while he is not afraid of death, he desires to live longer.
