Actor Dick Van Dyke, who turned 100 in December, demonstrated his commitment to staying mobile by sharing a video of himself exercising upside down on an inversion table. The clip, posted to Instagram, featured the "Mary Poppins" star with the hashtag "keep moving."

In the video, Van Dyke, with white hair and a beard, is seen hanging upside down, stretching and decompressing his spine. The soundtrack to the video included the song "Keep Stretching" by Moonspatz. Van Dyke has previously spoken about his consistent workout regimen, which includes visiting the gym up to three times a week for weight machines, circuit training, and a focus on stomach exercises to maintain strength.

Despite relying on a walker at times, Van Dyke has been observed moving between gym equipment with a dancing gait, a practice noted by actors Ted Danson and singer Rick Springfield. His wife, Arlene Silver, organized a flash mob to celebrate his 100th birthday in December, which included a medley of his songs performed by family and friends at their Malibu home.

Van Dyke has attributed his longevity partly to giving up cigarettes and alcohol in his 50s. He recalled Walt Disney smoking heavily before his death in 1966, contrasting it with his own decision to quit addictive substances. "So I got rid of booze and cigarettes and all that stuff, which is probably why I'm still here," he stated.

However, Van Dyke has also expressed feelings of loneliness and frustration in his later years, stemming from outliving most of his close friends and experiencing declining health that limits his ability to attend events or travel. He mentioned missing the daily routine of studio work and finding it difficult to diminish his physical and social presence. "Almost all of my visiting with folks has to happen at my house," he noted.
