Diane Keaton's former home in Los Angeles's Sullivan Canyon has sold for $18 million, approximately 10 months after the Oscar winner's death at age 79. The deal officially closed Tuesday, according to Realtor.com. The estate for Keaton, who died on October 11, took a significant loss on the property, which was initially listed in March 2025 for $28.9 million. The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom house was relisted three times, most recently for $22.9 million in June.

Keaton originally purchased the 9,219-square-foot farmhouse for $4.7 million in 2011. She then spent eight years renovating the property, a process documented in her 2017 book, "The House That Pinterest Built." The home features thousands of hand-selected vintage Chicago bricks, reclaimed light fixtures, and cascading beams. The library includes built-in shelves and a Henri Bergson quote. The property also boasts a wood-burning fireplace, a guest cottage, and a heated swimming pool. Keaton's favorite room was reportedly the kitchen, which featured a large vintage clock and skylights. The home was reimagined by architect David Takacs and designers from Cynthia Carlson Associates.

Mixed with the sale of the estate, Keaton's children, Dexter "Dexie" White, 30, and Duke Keaton, 26, have honored their late mother. On January 5, they enlisted tattoo artist Winterstone to create memorial tributes. In May, Dexie shared a Mother's Day tribute, expressing her grief and love for her mother.

Keaton, who reportedly left behind a $100 million fortune, was cremated three days after her passing from primary bacterial pneumonia. Her final screen appearance was in the 2024 comedy "Summer Camp." Keaton's career spanned decades, with notable roles in "The Godfather" trilogy, "Annie Hall," and "The First Wives Club." She also collaborated frequently with writer-director Nancy Meyers on films such as "Baby Boom," "Father of the Bride," and "Something's Gotta Give." She received a career tribute at Film at Lincoln Center in 2007 and the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award in 2017.
