“Fire Country” star Diane Farr has relocated from Los Angeles to rural Washington after living in California for 30 years. Farr told Fox News Digital that the move marks the beginning of her “third act,” which will involve splitting her time between Vancouver and Spain.
Farr explained that after her children moved out for college, she no longer felt tied to California. "So I actually moved to rural Washington because I could buy this pretty house, and it wasn't very expensive in comparison to living in LA for all those years," she said. She is now living by the water and enjoying activities like paddleboarding and e-biking.
The actress, who plays Sharon Leone on “Fire Country,” which is filmed in Vancouver, shared that she waited to leave Los Angeles until her children were older. "The permission came from my children being old enough that they live somewhere else. You know, they go to college, they live in other states, and I know women always talk about empty nest syndrome, and mine was unique," Farr said. She noted that she was hesitant to work out of town for 15 years while raising her children.
Farr stated that her “third act” is focused on finding more joy in her life. "My third act is gonna look like six months of the year in Spain and six months of the year in Vancouver, because it's really like how to get the joie de vie. It's how to live the most," she explained.
She announced her departure from Los Angeles on Instagram in late July, noting that she moved to the city at 26 chasing a dream that she is still surprised worked out. Farr also reflected on the positive experiences in Los Angeles, including raising her three children—son Beckett, 18, and twin daughters Coco and Sawyer, 17—in the city.
Regarding her character Sharon Leone in the upcoming fifth season of “Fire Country,” Farr teased that Sharon, who experienced grief last season after the loss of Vince, will be exploring new relationships. "So, she's a little off the rails, you know, like she's kind of behaving like a 20 year old. Which isn't good when you're the boss, and you have children and people responsible for you," Farr said, adding that Sharon will not be making her best choices this season.
