Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is set to install Islamic foot wash stations within bathrooms in Terminal D, according to records filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The project, officially registered on July 31, is anticipated to be completed by the end of the year.

These Wudu ablution stations will be located in existing concourse-level restrooms, with separate facilities designated for men and women. The installation involves adding low-level basins to existing men's and women's restrooms.

The initiative is privately funded and is estimated to cost approximately $300,000. Airport officials stated the updates are intended to prevent water from accumulating on standard restroom floors and to protect sink counters from damage.

Similar facilities are already in place at other major U.S. airports, including Chicago O'Hare and Indianapolis, serving international travelers. Conservative activist Ryan Fournier commented on social media that the stations are a matter of "basic airport management," emphasizing their role in keeping restrooms dry and safe by providing a dedicated space for foot washing, thereby avoiding the issues associated with using standard sinks. He further noted that the installations are focused on hygiene and preventing slips, rather than promoting any specific ideology.
