Detroit news anchor Ryan Ermanni was unable to maintain his composure during a live broadcast on Thursday after his co-host, Deena Centofanti, asked him a question with an apparent double entendre. The exchange occurred during discussion of the History Channel show “Alone,” which features contestants surviving in the wilderness.

Centofanti was detailing the types of animals contestants might hunt for food on the show. She mentioned that contestants are often in search of “fat in the beaver” as it is a sought-after food source. She then turned to Ermanni and asked, “Ryan, would you — do you think you could eat beaver? ’Cause it’s fat and then it’s meat.”

Ermanni immediately burst into laughter, covering his face as he struggled to regain his professional demeanor. "It made them all sick, though. They all got sick after it," he managed to say, misinterpreting the context of Centofanti's question. Centofanti clarified that contestants can get sick from eating diseased animals. The conversation then shifted to other animals, such as moose.

Later, after recovering, Ermanni told Centofanti she was “really funny” and a “really funny gal.” Centofanti later posted on Facebook that viewers can “learn stuff” from watching “Alone.” Ermanni also shared a clip of the humorous on-air moment on social media.
