A frantic search is underway for a 6-year-old boy who has been missing since Sunday morning. Ramon Jett, known as RJ, reportedly wandered away from his sister's apartment in Riverdale, Georgia.

Clayton County police confirmed that RJ disappeared from a residence on Webb Road. His family believes he left the apartment around 11 a.m. on Sunday. His mother, Ashleigh Harris, realized he was missing after waking from a nap around 1 p.m. and stated he has not been seen since.

"Very hard not knowing where to look. We've searched everything and just hoping somebody sees him," Harris told WSB-TV. "We're just praying for good news."

RJ was last seen wearing a green shirt and camouflage pants. He is approximately 3 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 40 pounds. The boy is nonverbal and has autism and ADHD, which authorities are concerned could prevent him from seeking help or communicating his location.

Riverdale residents are being asked to assist in the search by checking their yards, porches, outbuildings, and any wooded areas where RJ might have sought shelter. Police emphasized that "every minute is critical" in locating the child.

The six-year-old is nonverbal and suffers from a mental health condition that officers say may make him unable to seek help or communicate

Authorities urge anyone who sees RJ to call 911 immediately. The family expressed their hope for his safe return.
