The Department of War is investigating claims that the Air Force is withholding two cellphone videos that reportedly depict a 100-foot triangle-shaped UFO over a Colorado military installation. The agency stated it is "actively investigating" the whereabouts of these videos, which were allegedly recorded by a service member on successive nights in 2023.
"We will release what we find under PURSUE on war.gov/ufo," said acting Pentagon Press Secretary Joel Valdez on Wednesday. The Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters is the Trump administration's platform for releasing declassified UFO files.
The classified clips are said to show a triangular craft, approximately 100 feet in size, flying near a military base in Colorado. Sources claim the videos show the object flying over mountains and camouflaging within clouds. The videos are reportedly held by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations in Colorado, with file numbers IRR1669S015524 and IRR1669S005024.
The Trump administration's most recent release of UFO files included government employee accounts of witnessing a triangular UFO near Colorado Springs in 2023. Valdez indicated there is no set timeline for the potential release of the two videos.
On July 21, the administration announced it would waive non-disclosure agreements for former government employees and contractors who possess information regarding UFO programs, in an effort to elicit further details about any highly classified projects.
