Denver's Jewish community is experiencing fear and anxiety following the primary victory of Democratic socialist Melat Kiros, according to reports. Local leaders have expressed concerns that Kiros' rhetoric, including statements that appear to blame Israel for domestic antisemitism and a refusal to label a local firebombing as an antisemitic hate crime, is fueling threats and making visibly Jewish residents feel unsafe.

Brandon Rattiner, a Denver Jewish leader, stated he met privately with Kiros to discuss community concerns. He later observed a different tone in her public statements on a Twitch stream hosted by Hassan Piker. Rattiner voiced his disappointment with Kiros' rhetoric following their meeting.

Reports from Fox News' "Antisemitism Exposed" newsletter highlight a broader trend of rising anti-Jewish prejudice across the United States and globally. The newsletter also features other incidents, including Senator John Fetterman's criticism of an anti-Israel news outlet and a widely publicized incident involving an Ivy League student's refusal to work for a Jewish individual.

In a separate case mentioned, a New Jersey man received a six-month sentence after repeatedly ramming his car into a Brooklyn synagogue. The incident occurred in January at the Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters.

Sydney Altfield, CEO of Teach Coalition, wrote that surging antisemitic hate crimes in schools and online are causing Jewish families to fear for their children's safety. Altfield emphasized the need for a comprehensive societal response, including strict school policies, mandatory education, stronger platform enforcement by social media companies, and increased federal security funding.
