A Sydney dentist, Maged Fouad Farag, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges of aggravated sexual touching and intentionally recording intimate images without consent, stemming from 'training' sessions with female job applicants. The court documents reveal that Farag required applicants to sign an 11-page confidentiality agreement that stipulated a penalty of '$500,000 or higher' for any breach, including filing complaints.

Farag, 61, who operated Brite Smiles Dental Care in Rockdale, Sydney, with his wife Neven, fabricated a new business venture involving cosmetic procedures to justify the inappropriate sessions. Court filings detail that three women became victims over a period of at least five years, with the first reported incident occurring in January 2019.

One applicant, referred to as 'CD', was seeking a cleaner position but was instead offered training for a new clinic focused on laser, facial, and massage therapy. She signed a consent document that included clauses for unrestricted physical contact during training and acknowledged financial penalties for disclosing information or filing complaints. During training sessions, Farag instructed CD to undress, photographed her, fondled her, and performed other sexual acts, including sucking her nipple. CD reported him to the police in September 2024, which led to two other women coming forward with similar allegations.

Another victim, 'EF', who was studying dental technology, was offered a role as a physiotherapy assistant. Farag told her that training would involve 'massage techniques' and a 'skin check,' requiring her to remove all clothing. EF complied, lying naked in the dental chair while Farag conducted a 'skin check' with a dental lamp and latex gloves, touching her inner thigh and genitals for 10 to 15 seconds. She eventually ceased contact with Farag after feeling uncomfortable and unsafe.

The third victim, 'AB', applied for a dental assistant position in August 2024. During her initial training, Farag photographed her fully clothed, then instructed her to remove her bra and underwear for a 'skin check.' He took numerous photos of her in various states of undress. In a subsequent session, Farag sprayed oil on AB's stomach and proceeded to fondle her breasts and inner thighs, instructing her to touch him in return. He then lay next to her and sucked her nipple. AB reported the assault the following day.

Following AB's report, police searched Farag's practice and seized consent documents and a phone containing intimate images. News of Farag's arrest, circulating in online articles, prompted CD and EF to contact the police with their experiences. Farag, who is suspended from practicing dentistry in Australia and is out on $1 million bail, is scheduled for sentencing next month. His wife, Neven, is not accused of any wrongdoing. The couple maintained a lifestyle that included luxury vehicles and a $4 million waterfront home in Sylvania.
