Dennis Haskins, who gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Principal Richard Belding in the hit sitcom "Saved By The Bell," has died at the age of 75, his agent confirmed to ABC News. The cause of his death has not yet been released.
Haskins played the iconic school administrator from 1989 through 2000 across multiple iterations of the series. His tenure began with "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" on the Disney Channel in 1989, which was subsequently reimagined as NBC's "Saved By The Bell." He starred in the original "Saved By The Bell" for its four-season run from 1989 to 1993. Haskins later reprised his role for "Saved by the Bell: The New Class," which aired for seven seasons from 1993 to 2000.
Beyond his most famous role, Haskins amassed an extensive list of television and film credits. His acting credits include appearances in "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "A Million Ways to Die in the West," "Men of a Certain Age," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Victorious," "Mad Men," "How I Met Your Mother," "New Girl," and "Hot In Cleveland," among others.
His agent, Jay Schachter, remembered Haskins as "a great person" who "absolutely LOVED his fans" and always made time for them.
