Denise Welch, 68, has shared details of her fitness routine, posting a workout video from a Malibu beach on Wednesday. This comes shortly after her son, Matty Healy, and American model Gabbriette Bechtel, 29, celebrated their wedding in a Hollywood ceremony.
Welch, known for her role on Loose Women, showcased her exercises, which included running along the shore followed by squats and press-ups. She was seen in a blue lycra gym outfit during the routine. The actress and her husband, Lincoln Townley, 53, split their time between the UK and California, where they spend time with Welch's son and his new wife.
On the same day as her workout post, Welch extended birthday wishes to her new daughter-in-law, Gabbriette, whose birth name is Gabriella. "Happy birthday to our beautiful daughter in law Gabriella. We love you so much and hope you have a wonderful day," Welch wrote in a social media post.
Earlier in the week, Welch shared images from her son's wedding festivities. Matty Healy, the frontman for The 1975, married Bechtel on Saturday, July 18. The ceremony took place at Castillo del Lago, a former estate owned by Madonna, under the Hollywood sign.
Welch was seen celebrating with the newlyweds and other guests, including pop star Charli XCX and Bechtel's mother Chayo and sister Marcella. She shared photos of herself wearing a dusty pink off-the-shoulder satin dress for the ceremony, and a stylish black one-shoulder dress for another event during the wedding weekend. Bechtel wore a white suit with feathers and a bridal top hat.
Welch expressed her joy about the wedding, captioning a post, "We love our new family." She added, "To see my eldest son marry the most beautiful, funny, crazy girl under the Hollywood sign was a night I'll never forget. They are made for each other." She also noted the presence of many friends and family who gathered in Los Angeles to celebrate the union, calling it a "magical, beautiful few days watching the love between Matthew and @gabbriette."
Among the celebrity guests in attendance were actress Emily Ratajkowski and model Alex Consani, as well as Healy's bandmates.
