Denise Richards Vows to Never Marry Again After Divorces

Denise Richards has stated she will not marry again, citing her past divorces from Charlie Sheen and Aaron Phypers as primary reasons. The 55-year-old actress expressed her decision during a recent appearance on Jenny McCarthy's podcast, declaring, "Absof—lutely not. I don’t want that piece of paper."

Richards is currently in the midst of a legal dispute with her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, who filed for divorce in July 2025. She described her marriage to Phypers as a "business arrangement" rather than a true partnership, stating, "What I’m having to unravel and learning, that to him I was a product and it was a business arrangement, this was not a marriage. So that part, I can’t do again."

Reflecting on her past relationships, Richards humorously referred to her marital history as "0 for 2," referencing her 2006 divorce from actor Charlie Sheen. She shares two daughters with Sheen: Sami, 22, and Lola, 20.

Despite her reluctance to remarry, Richards expressed an openness to finding love again, stating, "I would have a partner, and I want to fall in love again, so I don’t want to be bitter…"

Richards has made accusations of domestic abuse against Phypers, testifying in Los Angeles Superior Court about multiple incidents, including claims that he caused her to suffer "at least three concussions." In November 2025, a judge granted her a five-year restraining order against Phypers. Phypers has denied these allegations. In September, he was ordered to pay Richards more than $25,000 in sanctions.

Her marriage to Sheen was also described as turbulent, marked by his struggles with substance abuse and erratic behavior. Richards filed for divorce in 2006, when she was six months pregnant with their second daughter, Lola, citing the marriage as "very toxic."
