Denise Richards Recreates Iconic 'Wild Things' Pool Scene
The 55-year-old actress revisited a memorable moment from the 1998 thriller for a new photoshoot.
Denise Richards, 55, has recreated an iconic pool scene from her 1998 film, "Wild Things," nearly three decades after the thriller's release. Makeup artist Pamela Brogardi shared footage of the new photoshoot on Instagram.
In the video, Richards is seen submerging her hair in a pool and posing for the camera. A photograph also captured the actress with her hair slicked back, wearing a black lace robe over a swimsuit.
"Wild Things" featured a memorable pool scene between Richards and co-star Neve Campbell, which was also highlighted on the film's promotional poster. In the 1998 erotic thriller, Richards and Campbell played high school students who accuse their guidance counselor, played by Matt Dillon, of rape. Kevin Bacon portrayed a police detective investigating the case.
The film, despite mixed reviews, was a commercial success and led to several sequels, including "Wild Things 2" (2004), "Wild Things: Diamonds in the Rough" (2005), and "Wild Things: Foursome" (2010).
Reflecting on the filming of the original pool scene in 2022, Richards described it as "terrifying." She told The Guardian that while the scenes may appear sexy, the choreography and execution were challenging and not as "sexy as people think."
Richards also previously mentioned that she did not want her daughters to watch "Wild Things" due to its mature content, stating in 2019 that she found it "weird" for her children to see her in such a role, especially as they grew older and their friends began to notice her filmography.
