DeMarcus Cousins Criticizes Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. Over Roster Construction
The former NBA star argued the team's front office has failed to adequately support Steph Curry.

Former Golden State Warriors player DeMarcus Cousins has publicly criticized General Manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. for the team's roster construction, asserting that the front office has not sufficiently supported star player Steph Curry.
Cousins, who played for the Warriors during the 2018-19 season, voiced his strong opinions on FanDuel TV's "Run It Back" show. He stated that the evidence of the front office's shortcomings in building a team around Curry is "pretty apparent."
"I think [Warriors GM Mike] Dunleavy [Jr.] has done a s—t job, as far as putting a roster around Steph Curry," Cousins declared. "Why this guy still has a job, I’ll never know."
He further elaborated that the team is still employing an "outdated system," specifically referencing a tendency to play a "small-ball" lineup. Cousins recalled a recent game where the tallest player on the floor for the Warriors was 6'6".
"It just doesn't work! It doesn't work anymore. The system is outdated," Cousins said, expressing his dismay that Curry's career might be declining under these circumstances.
The Warriors have started the current season with an 0-3 record, leading to fan concern and discussions about the team's direction and personnel decisions.
