Delevingne Discusses New Music, Sobriety on Fallon
The model and actress shared details about her latest single and personal journey while appearing on The Tonight Show.
Cara Delevingne showcased her athletic abilities and discussed her personal life and new music during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Delevingne, who was promoting her new single "Crazy Baby" and her film "Club Kid," demonstrated her flexibility by performing a headstand on stage alongside Fallon. She explained that she incorporates various activities, including yoga and breathwork, into her pre-show rituals. She joked that a clip of her getting into position for the headstand could appear suspicious out of context.
During her performance of "Crazy Baby," Delevingne wore lilac satin underwear with "Fallon" printed across the front. She revealed that the song is about her girlfriend, singer Minke, whose real name is Leah Mason. The couple has been together since 2022 and met in boarding school.
"It's a song I wrote about my partner," Delevingne said emotionally. "I'm not great at writing happy songs. She changed my life and I love her so much but we are British and she hates grand gestures." She added that the song is an apology for writing it and that Minke is the most important person in her life.
Delevingne also spoke about her sobriety journey, having become sober in 2022 after her substance use became unmanageable. She previously admitted to daily use of the party drug GHB, which led to seizures.
"I got sober and I finally love myself and believe in myself," she told Fallon. She expressed a desire to help others, recounting an instance where a young autistic fan thanked her for her song "The Mask."
