Buckner, who spent his first four NFL seasons with the 49ers after being selected as the No. 7 overall pick in 2016, is returning to San Francisco after more than six seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. During his time in Indianapolis, Buckner established himself as a significant talent and a key locker room leader. His return adds veteran leadership and star power to the 49ers' defensive line as the team aims for a deep playoff run.
