Deer Crashes Through North Carolina Laundromat, Terrifies Customers

A wild deer caused a scene at a North Carolina laundromat on Tuesday, crashing through the front window and startling customers.

The incident occurred at Wishy Washy Laundry in Winston-Salem when a deer was observed charging across the street, leaping over a vehicle, and then colliding with the building.

Video footage from the scene shows the deer entering the laundromat through the shattered front windows. Inside, customers can be seen ducking for cover as the animal runs through the establishment, knocking into laundry carts. One individual was observed jumping onto a table to avoid the animal.

The deer then moved towards the back of the laundromat, jumping onto some laundry machines before exiting the building through the same window it entered. The animal was last seen running down the street.

The business confirmed the incident was legitimate, stating on social media, "Nothing can prepare you for what happened at the Wishy Washy today. For those wondering, this is 100% legit. No AI. A freaking deer crashed through our laundromat today."

According to FOX 8, the owner of Wishy Washy Laundry, Corey Pendergrass, reported that an employee called to report the event. Pendergrass stated that no customers inside the laundromat were injured during the incident. However, a woman who was struck by the deer in the parking lot before it entered the building had left before staff could check on her.

The laundromat's damaged window was repaired on the same day as the incident.
