Deebo Samuel Suffers Hamstring Injury in Costly 49ers Loss to Seahawks

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel sustained a right hamstring injury late in the third quarter during Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. The injury occurred during a play where Samuel also fumbled the ball, a critical turnover that allowed the Seahawks to gain possession and add points.

The sequence began with quarterback Brock Purdy passing the ball to Samuel on the left side. As Samuel attempted to turn the corner, his right hamstring appeared to give out, causing him to fall to the ground and lose possession. This marked the 49ers' second consecutive turnover, following a Purdy interception that the Seahawks converted into a touchdown.

Samuel was seen limping toward the sideline and clutching his right hamstring. 49ers' medical staff quickly ruled him out for the remainder of the game. The severity of the injury is currently unknown, with further evaluation expected to determine if it is a mild strain or a more significant issue.

Adding to the 49ers' injury concerns, wide receiver Jacob Cowing also exited the game with an ankle injury shortly after Samuel's departure. The loss of Samuel, a versatile offensive player, for an extended period could significantly impact the 49ers' performance, particularly in their pursuit of NFC West division leadership.
