Dee Valladares Would Have Betrayed Rick Devens in 'Big Brother 28' Final 3, She Reveals

Dee Valladares, a contestant on 'Big Brother 28,' has revealed that she would have voted out fellow 'Survivor' alum Rick Devens had she won the final Head of Household competition.

"If I won the final HOH, I would have cut Devens because as much as my heart wants to stay loyal to Devens, he could absolutely beat me," Valladares told Page Six in an exclusive interview following her eviction. The 29-year-old explained that despite their strong alliance, she believed Devens, 42, would have had a stronger chance with the jury.

Valladares and Devens, both prominent figures from 'Survivor 50,' had formed a dominant alliance in 'Big Brother 28' alongside Angela Murray and Drew Campbell. However, the game shifted at the final four when Taylor Brown secured Head of Household and Drew Campbell won the Power of Veto, leading to the elimination of one of the 'Survivor' veterans.

In her eviction speech, Valladares addressed Devens, calling it "an honor of a lifetime to play this game with a legend," before urging Campbell to keep her in the game by emphasizing the strategic disadvantage of facing Devens in the final two.

Despite Valladares' plea, Campbell ultimately chose to evict her, keeping Devens in the competition. Campbell, a 22-year-old surgical dental assistant, acknowledged the difficulty of his decision, stating that both Valladares and Devens were "Survivor' legends who have become 'Big Brother' icons." He added that while the decision "hurts him," he abided by the game's outcome, quoting host Jeff Probst: "The tribe has spoken."

Valladares expressed that Campbell's decision may have cost him the grand prize but stated that she respects his choice.

The 'Big Brother 28' finale is scheduled to air Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available for streaming on Paramount+.
