Dec Donnelly, known for his work alongside Ant McPartlin, has revealed an unconventional bedtime routine that includes wearing "sexy" thigh-high compression boots and his wife resting on a bed of nails.

On a recent episode of their podcast, "Hanging Out with Ant & Dec," the hosts were discussing their nightly habits. Donnelly disclosed that around 9 p.m., he heads to the bedroom, sometimes showering beforehand and ensuring phones are silenced. He then shared his practice of wearing compression boots that extend to his upper thighs.

McPartlin expressed surprise and humor, asking if Donnelly was "turned on by this boot." Donnelly explained that the boots are for his lymphatic system and are activated by a button, comparing the sensation to having blood pressure taken. "It's like having your blood pressure taken. It's for like lymphatic system," he said.

Donnelly also revealed his wife, Ali Astall, engages in her own beauty routine, which involves lying on a mat with "plastic little sticks," described as a type of acupuncture mat. Donnelly admitted he finds it uncomfortable to witness, stating, "It hurts me. I can't do it. So I just put my legs on."

McPartlin conveyed his astonishment at the unexpected revelations, admitting he had anticipated a more mundane description, such as "having a bowl of cereal."

To wind down, Donnelly mentioned sometimes having a "sleepy tea" before relaxing with a television program. He also noted that McPartlin recently celebrated his fifth wedding anniversary with his wife, Anne-Marie, sharing a wedding photo on Instagram. The couple were married in August 2021.
