Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson has agreed to a new contract that will keep him at the club through 2030. The terms of the deal make Henderson, who is also the team captain, the highest-paid player on the squad.

Henderson's new contract adds three-and-a-half years to his previous agreement. This development follows summer transfer window interest from Nottingham Forest, whose former manager Oliver Glasner had inquired about Henderson's availability just three days before the transfer deadline.

Henderson joined Crystal Palace in 2023 from Manchester United for an initial fee of £15 million. Last season, the 29-year-old goalkeeper became club captain and was instrumental in Palace's UEFA Conference League title win. He made 52 appearances and recorded 18 clean sheets. He also played a key role in the club's FA Cup triumph, maintaining clean sheets in the quarter-final, semi-final, and final matches.

Henderson is currently sidelined with a foot injury. He played the first three games of the current campaign while injured and is expected to return after the international break.

Internationally, Henderson was part of the England squad that won bronze at the FIFA World Cup, starting in the third-place playoff match.
