Deacon Phillippe, son of actors Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon, recently showcased a striking resemblance to his father in a shirtless photo shoot for the clothing brand ERL. The 22-year-old, who is also the only son of the Hollywood couple, modeled for the Venice Beach-based designer Eli Russell Linnetz, displaying defined abs.
In the images, Phillippe also sported purple jeans and a sleeveless tank top. One particular shot featured him in a matching purple hoodie, worn open to reveal his physique. Phillippe himself commented on the ERL Instagram post, humorously noting, "Still in the purps btw they stayed on since."
The social media reaction highlighted his resemblance to his father and touched on his "nepo baby" status, with one user commenting, "ANOTHER day another NEPO HERE FOR THE ABS." Another fan joked, "This the nepotism I wanna see." Others praised his genetics, with one Instagram user writing, "He got both his parents elite genes 🧬."
Phillippe, who graduated from New York University in May, has previously paid homage to his father. In June, he attended the "Elle" premiere with his mother, Reese Witherspoon, recreating his father's 2001 red carpet look from the "Legally Blonde" premiere. This included a black suit, Ray-Ban sunglasses, and a pink tie.
Ryan Phillippe himself has spoken about his son's resemblance. In a September 2021 interview with E! News, he humbly stated that Deacon is "way better looking than I am." He also observed that while there's a father-son resemblance, Deacon appears to have inherited more from Witherspoon's side of the family, while his daughter Ava, 26, resembles Phillippe more.
