Days of Our Lives Actor Robert Kelker-Kelly's Cause of Death Revealed

Robert Kelker-Kelly, known for his roles on "Days of Our Lives" and other soap operas, died at age 62 from arteriosclerotic heart disease, officials confirmed nearly four weeks after his passing.

The Office of the Regional Medical Examiner in St. Charles, Missouri, officially released the cause of death to People magazine.

Kelker-Kelly died on October 3 after experiencing cardiac arrest. An incident report indicates he felt unwell while in a car with his wife, Allison Kelly, and opted to lie down in bed at home instead of seeking immediate medical attention.

According to a St. Peters Police incident report, while driving home from Spirit Airport in Missouri, Kelker-Kelly complained of pain in his left arm and chest. His wife pulled over, and when she asked if he needed to go to the hospital, he declined, asking only to be taken home to rest.

Once home, Kelker-Kelly changed clothes and lay down. He then requested an aspirin, but when his wife returned from the kitchen, she found him unresponsive and not breathing. She called 911.

Emergency responders arrived and attempted life-saving measures, but Kelker-Kelly was pronounced deceased at 9:09 p.m. that evening. Police noted no suspicious circumstances at the scene. His wife reported that he had no known history of medical conditions and was not on any prescribed medications.

Kelker-Kelly's career in daytime television included portraying Bo Brady on "Days of Our Lives" from 1992 to 1995. He also had roles on "General Hospital," "Port Charles," and "Another World." In addition to his acting career, Kelker-Kelly was a licensed aircraft pilot.
