Dax Shepard recounted on his "Armchair Expert" podcast how he made a pass at Kate Hudson when she was married to musician Chris Robinson.

Shepard shared with guests Sara and Erin Foster that he encountered Hudson at a poker game hosted by her brother, Oliver Hudson. Despite Hudson being married at the time, Shepard said he "gave her 111% of any charm I have," admitting he found her "so f–king beautiful" and was a fan of her film "Almost Famous."

"I remember leaving going like, ‘Well, this is as good a job as one can do,’" Shepard said. "She’s married, who cares, but that was a great first showing. I just had a crush on her."

After Hudson and Robinson separated in 2006, Shepard attempted to connect with Hudson again at a dinner party. This second attempt proved successful, leading to their brief relationship.

"From that night on we were just together every single day," Shepard recalled. He and Hudson dated for a couple of months in 2007, a period he described with his co-host Monica Padman as intense.

Kate Hudson was married to Chris Robinson from 2000 to 2007. They share a son, Ryder. Hudson was also previously engaged to Matt Bellamy, with whom she has a son, Bingham. She is currently engaged to Danny Fujikawa, and they have a daughter, Rani Rose.

Shepard has been married to actress Kristen Bell since 2013, and they have two daughters, Lincoln and Delta. The couple has been open about the dynamics of their marriage on "Armchair Expert." Most recently, Bell shared that Shepard's way of flirting with her involves complimenting other people, such as waitstaff, on their appearance.
