Former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard has married his Swedish model girlfriend Sigrid Silversand in a ceremony held at their 85-acre estate, Barwhinnock House, near Twynholm, Scotland.
Coulthard, 55, and Silversand, 32, celebrated their union with a large gathering of friends and celebrities. Among the notable attendees were former Spice Girl Geri Horner and her husband, former racing driver Christian Horner. Also present were former F1 drivers Mika Häkkinen, Martin Brundle, and Jean Alesi. Scots TV presenter Lee McKenzie shared social media updates from the event, including a helicopter journey over the Scottish coast with Sir Jackie Stewart and Mark Webber.
Mysterious to some, the couple's wedding celebrations were anticipated to conclude with a fireworks display. Coulthard and Silversand, who met around 2021, became engaged last year in Mauritius. They are understood to have recently had a civil ceremony in Monaco, where Coulthard resides. This is Coulthard's second marriage; he has a 17-year-old son, Dayton, from his previous marriage to Karen Minier.
The wedding festivities saw guests arriving via limousines and helicopters, underscoring the elaborate nature of the celebration. Speculation also suggested that TV personality Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes might have attended, as Coulthard is godfather to their daughter.
