David Beckham attended the first day of Wimbledon on Monday, treating his mother, Sandra, to an outing at the All England Club. Beckham, who recently returned from New Jersey after watching England's World Cup match, was seen in the Royal Box.
He was seated alongside television personality Mary Berry and former tennis player Debbie Jevans. In the row behind them were actor Mark Rylance, Alexandra Armstrong, and singer Katherine Jenkins.
Meanwhile, Beckham's son Romeo and his girlfriend Kim Turnbull were also present at the tournament, though they were seated in the stands rather than the Royal Box. Romeo Beckham wore a brown suit with a white T-shirt, while Turnbull sported a white dress.
Other notable attendees included Tess Daly, who continued to wear her wedding and engagement rings despite announcing a separation from husband Vernon Kay. She arrived in a lace gown, accompanied by her business partner Gayle Lawton. Amanda Holden also made an appearance, opting for a pinstriped two-piece outfit.
Singer Katherine Jenkins was seen in a white dress with blue spots, alongside her husband Andrew Levitas. Niall Horan of One Direction attended with his girlfriend Amelia Woolley.
Former weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was present at the event, marking her first appearance since stepping back from her role on BBC Breakfast after 28 years. Her departure from BBC's Wimbledon coverage was acknowledged on air, with her replacement Matt Taylor taking over weather updates for the tournament.
Other celebrities spotted included Ashley Roberts in a white mini dress, Ronan and Storm Keating in complementary cream and white outfits, Ashley James in a pink slip dress, and Rachel Stevens in a Bardot dress. Pixie Lott and her husband Oliver Cheshire, and Catherine Ryan with her husband Bobby Koostra were also among the attendees.
The opening day of Wimbledon also saw a significant turnout for the public queue, with an estimated 10,000 people by 8:30 a.m. Hopes for tickets to see Emma Raducanu were dashed after her late withdrawal on Sunday due to a stress fracture.
On the court, Jannik Sinner began his title defense against Miomir Kecmanović, and Aryna Sabalenka faced Teodora Kostovic. Novak Djokovic was also scheduled to play his opening match against Wu Yibing.
