The father of late actress Daveigh Chase has petitioned the court to oversee her estate, following a similar request from her mother. John Schwallier, Chase's father, has asked for a licensed professional fiduciary and paralegal, Megan Boling, to be appointed as administrator to manage the actress's approximately $400,000 in personal property.

Chase, known for her role as the voice of Lilo in Disney's "Lilo & Stitch," died last month at age 35. Court documents indicate she died without a will and was unhoused in Los Angeles at the time of her death.

Her mother, Cathy Chase, had previously petitioned the court to be appointed administrator of the estate. According to court filings, she stated that Schwallier resides in the Philippines with an unknown address but maintains properties in Las Vegas.

Schwallier, in his filing, stated that he declines to serve as administrator himself, provided Boling is appointed and willing to serve. A hearing is scheduled for August 26 in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Daveigh Chase's former manager of over a decade, John Ryan, told The Post that the actress had millions in unclaimed residual checks at the time of her death, but struggled with addiction and was unable to claim them. Ryan recalled efforts in 2025 with Chase's stepsister, Gaia Brown, to locate her and provide assistance, but she disappeared again after a phone conversation. Ryan described Chase as "the sweetest and brightest light in Hollywood."
