Dave Matthews, the lead singer of the Dave Matthews Band, voiced strong condemnation of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during a concert on Friday, referring to them as "a--holes" in connection with a fatal shooting in Houston.

During the performance, Matthews identified the deceased as Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, describing him as a father and grandfather. "Well then don’t pull the trigger, you a–holes," Matthews stated, expressing his anger over the incident. He apologized if his language was offensive to Araujo's family and friends but reiterated his distress.

According to ICE, officers attempted a traffic stop around 6:50 a.m. in Houston. An ICE spokesperson told Fox News Digital that Araujo attempted to evade officers and "weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE law enforcement officer, resulting in our officer firing his weapon in self-defense." ICE identified the deceased as Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican citizen.

This is not the first time Matthews has spoken out against ICE. In February, following the death of activist Renee Good during an altercation with ICE agents in Minneapolis, Matthews shared his views in an Instagram video. He criticized ICE agents, calling them "masked thugs" who "terrorize our communities and rip families apart," and questioned the use of taxpayer money for such actions.

"We should be taking care of each other. We should be minding each other. We should be housing the homeless. We shouldn’t be, you know, throwing people to the ground," he said at the time, referencing Good's death. "Murdered in front of her fellow citizens in Minneapolis, murdered in the streets, and no matter what narrative this administration is trying to sell us, we can see the videos."

Fox News Digital reached out to ICE for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
