Davante Adams Suffers Non-Contact Knee Injury in Rams' Latest Blow

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams sustained a non-contact knee injury late in the team's 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at SoFi Stadium. The incident occurred during the Rams' final touchdown drive when Adams pulled up short in the end zone, immediately reaching for his left knee before limping off the field.

Adams did not return to the game following the injury, the severity of which remains undisclosed. Head coach Sean McVay is expected to provide an update on Adams' condition during his media availability on Monday.

The injury adds another significant setback to a Rams team that has seen its Super Bowl aspirations diminish throughout the season. Quarterback Matthew Stafford connected with tight end Colby Parkinson for a 6-yard touchdown pass, briefly giving the Rams a 16-15 lead. However, the Cardinals responded with a game-winning 43-yard field goal as time expired, a drive that was aided by a late penalty on the Rams' Josh Wallace.

Adams concluded the game with three receptions for 39 yards on four targets. In his second season with the Rams, the veteran receiver has recorded 27 catches for 441 yards and four touchdowns through six games this season.
