Alisa Goods, a 63-year-old grandmother of five from New York, was reported missing on August 10, two days after she was last seen in Las Vegas. Her daughter, Kristen Goods, has traveled from New Jersey to Nevada to assist in the search, which has involved checking hospitals and morgues.

Goods was visiting a friend of approximately 20 years, Roger John, in Las Vegas, a city she had visited many times before. According to her family and John, Goods left his apartment around 12:45 p.m. on August 8 to take a bus to a nearby CVS for shopping. She never returned to her friend's home.

John notified Goods' family of her disappearance that evening, and a missing person report was filed two days later. The family stated that police do not consider John a suspect, and Kristen Goods has indicated that he has been cleared by authorities.

Family members reported that Goods was last seen at a store near Paradise and Flamingo roads, where she purchased supplements and water. Kristen Goods spoke with the CVS manager, who confirmed her mother's presence via surveillance footage, though Kristen did not view the footage herself.

The family has expressed frustration with the limited available surveillance footage in the area, hoping for more advanced tracking capabilities. They also noted that Goods would likely not have traveled far on foot due to recent leg surgeries, making prolonged walking difficult.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police confirmed that Goods' missing person case remains active, and detectives have not found any suspicious elements. Police have searched a 20-mile radius from where Goods was last seen. Family members have also distributed missing person flyers throughout the area.

Days after Goods disappeared, her family began receiving text messages from her phone requesting money and, later, Bitcoin. The family does not know who sent these messages or if Goods was still in possession of her phone at the time.
