Dashcam Captures NBC Helicopter Plunge Near Site of Deadly LA Crashes
Footage shows the aircraft descending shortly before impacting the ground, adding to the tragedy that claimed five lives.

Dashcam footage has captured the terrifying moment an NBC 4 news helicopter fell from the sky in Chatsworth, Los Angeles. The incident occurred near the scene of a separate collision where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus.
The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, appearing as a small dot from the perspective of a driver's dashcam. "It's a crisp video and it just goes down," said Yera Valencia, who recorded the footage.
In total, five people died as a result of the back-to-back incidents. The helicopter crash claimed the lives of reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw, and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia. The earlier collision involving the SUV and the Metro bus resulted in two fatalities.
