A daredevil couple was arrested Wednesday after scaling the Empire State Building and proposing at the top of its antenna. Angela Nikolau, 33, and Ivan Kuznetsov, 32, climbed the 1,454-foot structure to unfurl a banner that read, “when the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace.”
The stunt took place around noon. Nikolau and Kuznetsov, who have been described as kissing daredevils, are known for performing high-risk feats for social media. Their exploits were documented in the 2024 Netflix film “Skywalkers: A Love Story,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Authorities apprehended the couple following the incident. The exact charges were not immediately specified.
