American architect Dara Huang, 43, the mother of Princess Beatrice's stepson, has ignited speculation about a potential engagement after sharing a post on Instagram that featured a prominent diamond ring.

Huang, who was previously engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and shares a 10-year-old son, Christopher (known as 'Wolfie'), with him, posted a black-and-white image of her hand, adorned with a large diamond and an additional band, resting with an anonymous partner. "Kinda chic to still believe in love," Huang captioned the photo, adding, "It's kinda chic to not be afraid. Be your own destiny and start over any time! I became a single mom at 37, and I started my second company at 40, and I've just started working on my biggest challenge. So chase your dreams, do your best everyday, love like there's no tomorrow and don't think life is over when it's only just begun."

Huang and Mapelli Mozzi were engaged in 2017, a year after meeting, and welcomed their son in 2016. Their relationship concluded in 2018, shortly before Mapelli Mozzi's relationship with Princess Beatrice became public. Huang has previously expressed that she wishes well for Edoardo and Beatrice and looks forward to uniting their families.

Wolfie, whose full name is Christopher, has become more visible with the Royal Family, attending events such as the Princess of Wales's 2023 carol concert and the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee pageant in 2022, where he was photographed with Beatrice. Princess Beatrice refers to him as her "bonus son," and Beatrice's mother, Sarah Ferguson, considers Wolfie a grandson.

Huang's professional background includes founding her architecture and interior design company, Design Haus Liberty, in 2013, and later establishing Vivahouse. Her work has involved projects such as the Tate Modern Museum in London and the Tribeca skyscraper in New York. She also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and a master's in architecture from Harvard. Huang became a British citizen in January 2022.

Earlier reports had linked Huang to film director Brett Ratner, but she stated that their relationship was purely platonic, describing them as "only friends."
