Dante Moore Breaks Silence on Concussion After Controversial Hit

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore has broken his silence following a controversial hit to the head that led to him being taken off the field in an ambulance with a concussion. The incident occurred during a game against the University of Southern California, where USC linebacker Desman Stephens II delivered a hit that left Moore on the ground for an extended period.

Moore, who was hospitalized following the play, posted an update on Instagram two days after the game, stating he has made progress. "These past 2 days have been very difficult, but through all of your prayers I have made progress," Moore wrote on the social media platform. He shared a Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, and expressed his intention to return to the field soon. "I’ll be back soon. Go Ducks!"

Oregon coach Dan Lanning confirmed on Sunday that Moore had suffered a concussion. Lanning stated that MRI and CT scans showed no additional injuries, but he indicated that the team would proceed with "an abundance of caution" regarding Moore's return. Lanning emphasized the importance of player safety during an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," acknowledging that while Moore is eager to play, ensuring his health is the priority. The coach also highlighted the readiness of backup players, citing Dylan's performance in the game.

There is currently no set timeline for Moore's return to play this season.
