Danny Trejo's Donut Shop Closes Hollywood Location, Eyes New Spot
Trejo's Donuts will shut its doors on Oct. 29 due to lease expiration, but the business assures customers it's a temporary closure before a relaunch.

Trejo's Donuts, a popular shop co-owned by actor Danny Trejo, is set to close its Hollywood location on October 29. The closure is attributed to the expiration of the store's lease.
In an announcement shared on Instagram, the business stated, "This is definitely not a final goodbye—we’re so excited to welcome you all to our next spot." The specific location for the new shop has not yet been revealed.
"As our lease comes to an end, it is time to close this chapter at our one and only Hollywood location. Hollywood, it’s been so sweet! Come share one last coffee and donut with us before we close our doors on Thursday, October 29, 2026," the announcement read.
The Hollywood shop has been a fixture since its opening in 2017, taking over the former site of Donut Time, a location previously known for its appearance in the indie film "Tangerine."
Customers have expressed their fondness for the shop since the announcement, with many calling the donuts the best in Los Angeles and expressing sadness about the closure of the current location. One social media user wrote, "Dang, that was such a great spot and such great donuts and coffee. Being just a walk away from Calabama helped make Hollywood mornings delicious. Can’t wait for the new location."
