Danny Foster Celebrates 23 Years with Wife Victoria Amid Hear'Say Reunion News
The 'Hear'Say' star shared a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Victoria Goddard, as the band announced a major arena tour with Liberty X.
Danny Foster, known for his role in the pop group Hear'Say, recently marked 23 years with his wife, Victoria Goddard. The singer shared a touching message on social media, accompanied by a photograph of the couple dressed for a recent celebration. "Grateful for you @victoriagoddard1 I knew the moment I saw you… 23 years later here we are. Thank you for an amazing couple of days… beyond love ♥️ x," Foster posted.
Danny and Victoria, who is also a singer, married in 2016. They perform together in their soul group, Big Soul Corporation. Their relationship has navigated significant challenges, including Victoria's diagnosis with breast cancer in 2021. She shared in a 2024 Instagram post that the cancer was found and caught early, leading to a lumpectomy and radiotherapy. She expressed immense gratitude for each day, attributing her positive outlook to her experiences.
Beyond their shared musical endeavors, the couple also share a passion for travel and have developed an interest in meditation and yoga, inspired by time spent in India. Following this experience, Danny founded Love Includes You, a platform focused on meditation, self-love, and personal development. The initiative hosts community events and promotes daily practices based on the wisdom he gained from monastic life.
Foster is also returning to the public eye as Hear'Say is set to embark on a nationwide arena tour with Liberty X. The tour, celebrating 25 years since both bands rose to fame on the TV talent show Popstars, will feature 13 dates in 2027. The lineup for Hear'Say includes original members Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan. Myleene Klass will not be participating due to scheduling conflicts. Liberty X will perform with their complete original lineup: Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm, and Kelli Young.
Hear'Say was formed through ITV's Popstars in 2000-01, becoming one of the UK's pioneering TV-created pop groups. Their debut single, "Pure and Simple," achieved No. 1 status and set a record at the time for first-week sales of a debut single. After Kym Marsh departed in 2002, she was replaced by Johnny Shentall, but the subsequent release did not replicate the group's initial success.
Liberty X released their debut single "Thinking It Over" after being formed on Popstars in 2001, reaching number five in the UK charts. Their third single, "Just A Little," propelled them to global fame, reaching number one in the UK and becoming the ninth best-selling single of 2002. The band disbanded in 2007, later reuniting as part of the ITV show The Big Reunion in 2013.
Members of both bands indicated that the reunion tour idea originated from within the groups themselves. Kelli Young of Liberty X shared that Jessica and Michelle initially proposed the concept, and the idea gained momentum through direct communication between band members. Kym Marsh humorously noted the difference in performance style now compared to their early career, mentioning that while the routines may not be as energetic, there will be a nod to their past performances.
