Dannii Minogue arrived at Melbourne Airport on Monday following the 2026 Logie Awards. The 54-year-old singer, dressed in a black sweater, white shirt, and leather-look pants, was seen with her manager and staff as she departed with her awards.
Minogue's appearance comes after she posted an emotional tribute to Australian television pioneer Johnny Young, who died at age 79 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. The performer shared nostalgic photographs and clips from her time on "Young Talent Time," the show that launched her career.
"Johnny Young holds a place in so many hearts, and today my heart is broken," Minogue wrote on Instagram. She recalled joining "Young Talent Time" at age eight and credited Young with providing the opportunity that led to her decades-long career in entertainment. She praised his contributions to music, songwriting, and family television, noting that his show brought "17 years of colour, choreography, sequins, music and smiles to our Saturday nights."
Minogue extended condolences to Young's family and the "Young Talent Time" community. She concluded her message with a reference to Young's famous sign-off, calling his death "a very sad Goodnight Australia."
Her sister, Kylie Minogue, also commented on the post, expressing that Young was "embedded into all our hearts and memories" and offering condolences. Kylie Minogue noted the formative years she and her sister spent with the "Young Talent Time" team.
Johnny Young hosted "Young Talent Time" from 1971 to 1988 and was instrumental in discovering other stars, including Tina Arena. Arena also paid tribute to Young, stating, "I'm struggling to find the words today to express the profound loss of a man who allowed, and equally encouraged, me to find my voice!"
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese acknowledged Young's impact on X, formerly Twitter, writing that Young gave Australia "the gift of joy." Albanese described Young as "a wonderful singer in his own right" and the "genial and generous host of Young Talent Time, the launchpad for an incredible new generation of entertainers."
