Danniella Westbrook recently revealed the results of her latest facial surgery during an appearance at the Sellebrity Soccer charity match held in Hornchurch, east London.
This marks a visible stage in Westbrook's 18-month commitment to reconstructive surgery aimed at repairing her face following years of drug abuse, which led to a collapsed septum. Her most recent procedure focused on a hare lip reversal, addressing an issue she previously described as pulling in the wrong direction.
Dressed in a floral maxi dress with her hair in a ponytail, Westbrook partially concealed her face with large black sunglasses during the event. Earlier in the month, she had shared images of stitches on her upper lip following an upper vascular flap procedure and lip augmentation.
Westbrook has been open about her reconstructive journey, documenting her progress through a series of specialized procedures. She previously appeared on Vanessa Feltz's Channel 5 show, discussing her ongoing treatments and the plan for six more surgeries over the next 18 months to fully restore her appearance. In March, she underwent a full face, neck, and brow lift, along with lip and nose reconstruction in Dubai.
The actress also shared plans for future surgeries, including the implantation of a metal cheekbone due to bone loss from osteoporosis. "Since I got older the osteoporosis has set in on my bones. So on this side of my face, I don't have any bone at all," she explained. "So they've got to rebuild all my bones. At the moment it's filler, but they've really got to do a metal bone. It's got to be put in there."
Westbrook noted that she undergoes surgery approximately every two and a half to three months. She described a recent facelift intended to realign her face, stating, "I hate looking in the mirror. I've just recently had to have a facelift to realign both sides of my face because they were so wonky, just to get this nose in a certain position so we could start working on that."
She has also spoken about facing online trolling regarding her appearance, including hateful messages, but contrasted this with the significant support she has received from the public. Westbrook mentioned that she often avoids reading social media comments to protect her well-being.
The facial reconstruction procedures have been carried out at Gargash Hospital in the UAE, with surgeon Dr. Parviz Sadigh, who has operated on her previously, leading the latest efforts. Westbrook stated that with three more nose operations planned, she is over halfway through that particular stage of treatment and that the facelift has significantly boosted her confidence.
Westbrook, who gained fame at 16 on the soap opera 'EastEnders,' had her contract terminated in 1996 due to cocaine use. She has since spoken about the beginnings of her addiction, describing it as a result of youthful naivety and peer influence in a glamorous but ultimately destructive environment. She estimated her spending on drugs to be around £250,000.
