Danielle Armstrong Documents Post-Baby Weight Loss Journey
The TOWIE star shared a video showcasing her transformation, detailing her fitness and nutrition plan.
Reality television personality Danielle Armstrong has shared her post-baby weight loss progress in a transformation video. The 38-year-old, known for her role in "The Only Way Is Essex" (TOWIE), posted a clip on Monday demonstrating the physical changes she achieved over the past year.
In the video, Armstrong initially appeared struggling to fit into a favorite pair of jeans three months after the birth of her second child. The clip then transitioned to show her looking toned, with the same jeans now fitting loosely.
Armstrong, who has two daughters with her husband Tom Edney, stated that her transformation was not achieved through quick fixes, starvation, extreme diets, or excessive cardio. Instead, she followed a sustainable plan. Her routine included a daily breakfast protein shake, eating small meals approximately every two to three hours, consuming around 1,500 calories per day with 100 grams of protein, and incorporating short, at-home weight training sessions.
She announced the upcoming launch of her "Drop a Jean Size" challenge, set to begin on October 5th, offering to share her plan, workouts, and details on how to join with interested individuals who DM her.
Armstrong has previously emphasized her commitment to fitness and has openly discussed achieving her current physique without the use of weight loss injections. She advocates for prioritizing health and achieving results through balanced nutrition and exercise, particularly for those who may not be avid gym-goers or have limited time for meal preparation.
She elaborated on her approach, stating that 80 percent of physical appearance is attributed to diet. She recommends a nutrition plan that facilitates a calorie deficit without feeling overly restrictive. Armstrong also highlighted the importance of not eating after 8 p.m. and consuming 2.5 to 3 liters of water daily.
In addition to diet and exercise, Armstrong tracks her daily steps, aiming for a minimum of 10,000 steps per day, and incorporates supplements to aid nutrient absorption and gut health. She also stresses the significance of adequate sleep, aiming for 7-9 hours per night, noting that poor sleep can negatively impact metabolism.
Armstrong gained public recognition after joining TOWIE in 2013, though she has mentioned that she did not initially aspire to a career in the public eye. Her entry into the reality television world reportedly came about through her relationship with fellow cast member James Lock.
