Suspected cartel leader Daniel Kinahan has been extradited from Dubai to Ireland, ending a decade of exile. Kinahan, 49, appeared in a special non-jury court in Dublin after an extradition treaty between Ireland and the United Arab Emirates facilitated his transfer.

He faces charges of directing the activities of a criminal organization between October 18, 2015, and April 6, 2017. Kinahan has previously denied all charges against him. He is considered one of the world's most wanted men and is alleged to lead the Kinahan cartel, a criminal organization reportedly valued at one billion dollars.
