Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is on track to participate in full team drills as the Colts begin training camp this week, indicating a significant recovery from the torn Achilles that ended his 2025 season.

Jones confirmed on Monday that he is feeling no ill effects from the injury, which occurred in Week 14 of last season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He expressed confidence in his readiness, stating, “Plan is to be back in 11-on-11, full team drills Wednesday when we start up practice.”

Following his recovery, Jones re-signed a two-year contract worth $88 million during the offseason. His return is anticipated to bolster the Colts' offense, which began last season with an 8-2 record before his injury. Jones participated in individual drills during the team's spring OTAs and in 7-on-7 periods during minicamp, with head coach Shane Steichen noting his dedication to rehabilitation.

"He looks great. He’s attacked the rehab process, as good as it gets," Steichen said of Jones's offseason work. "He’s in that building all spring from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. He’s put in the work."

Steichen added that Jones will be a "full participant" in upcoming team drills. Jones originally joined the Colts in March 2025 on a one-year deal after a brief stint with the Minnesota Vikings, following six seasons with the New York Giants.
