Daniel Franzese of "Mean Girls" Details 135-Pound Weight Loss Journey

Daniel Franzese, known for his role as Damian Leigh in the 2004 film "Mean Girls," recently showcased a significant 135-pound weight loss through a shirtless mirror selfie posted on Threads. The actor revealed that his transformation has been a three-year effort.

Franzese detailed his current lifestyle changes, stating, “No booze, no sugar, workout 4 times a week (or more) now counting macros.” The post has garnered positive reactions from fans, with many praising his dedication and transformation.

This public sharing of his progress comes after a health scare in August, where Franzese experienced lightheadedness during a stand-up comedy performance at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. He described the incident to the Daily Mail, recounting how he nearly passed out on stage, attributing it to a lack of sleep, food, and water while performing.

"My vision started flashing,” he recalled. “I thought, ‘Passing out in front of Jay Leno would be a little thirsty, even for me,’ so I got off stage before I became the evening’s surprise finale.” He managed to recover after a few minutes with water.

Franzese advised his followers, “Sometimes you get so busy working and taking care of everything and everybody that you forget your own body needs taking care of too. Consider this my reminder to you kids — sleep, eat and hydrate or Die-drate.”

Franzese is widely recognized for his role in "Mean Girls," which also featured Lindsay Lohan, Jonathan Bennett, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Lizzy Caplan, and Lacey Chabert. In 2023, Franzese and other cast members reunited for a Walmart Black Friday commercial, recreating scenes from the iconic film.
