Danica Patrick's Instagram Post Praising Trump Sparks Reaction from Katie Couric
Patrick shared her positive experience riding with the former president, drawing a sharp retort from Couric.
Danica Patrick recently shared her positive experience riding with former President Donald Trump in "The Beast," his presidential limousine. Patrick posted on Instagram that Trump is "so easy to talk to and SO fun to listen to," describing him as a great storyteller who is curious about others' opinions and knowledgeable about sports.
Her post drew a swift, negative reaction from journalist Katie Couric, who commented "Ugh" on Patrick's Instagram post. The author of the original notes contrasted Couric's comment with her previous praise for Jennifer Welch.
In other news from the same outlet, former NFL star Warren Sapp was reportedly involved in a confrontation with a Florida State fan during a tailgate event. The notes describe Sapp as someone frequently seeking confrontation, citing past incidents including an airplane altercation and encounters with law enforcement. The author advised readers to "stay clear of Warren."
The column also touched on other cultural and sports-related topics, including an observation about country singer Tim McGraw's apparent heavy use of bronzer and a plea for the fast-food chain Wendy's to bring back its Superbar.
Additionally, the piece included reader mailbag questions about food and sports broadcasting, with one reader suggesting syncing radio broadcasts with TV broadcasts for a better announcer experience.
