Danica Patrick Enjoys New Zealand Getaway Amidst Public Feud with Aaron Rodgers
The former race car driver shared photos of a golfing trip in New Zealand, the same country where she previously vacationed with her ex-boyfriend, NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Danica Patrick has been enjoying a golfing getaway in New Zealand, sharing moments of her trip on social media. This comes as her ex-boyfriend, NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, recently spoke about their past relationship on a podcast.
Patrick posted photos of herself and friends on the golf course at Te Arai Links, a top course on New Zealand's North Island. She captioned one image, "Top tier girl time," and another, "Girls just wanna play golf."
Rodgers, in an interview on the "Not Just Football" podcast, made comments about his relationship with Patrick, stating she was "depressed" during their time together and that there were issues with "intimacy."
Rodgers' remarks followed Patrick's own public statements about their relationship from the previous summer, when she described their romance as "emotionally abusive" and said it "wore me down to nothing."
Patrick and Rodgers dated from January 2018 until their split in July 2020. They purchased a home together in Malibu in late 2019 and lived together for the early months of 2020. During their relationship, they also took a romantic vacation to New Zealand in January 2019, sharing photos of activities like kayaking and bungee jumping.
Rodgers' recent comments, made in response to Patrick's past descriptions of their relationship, touched on their breakup. He stated, "No one cares what they have to say until they say my name." He also recounted a conversation about buying a house together, which he declined, and a subsequent period of counseling.
Patrick, who has become a supporter of Donald Trump, had previously spoken about the breakup with Sage Steele, calling it "sudden" and describing the relationship as "emotionally abusive."
