Danica Patrick Enjoys European Getaway Amid Aaron Rodgers Controversy
Patrick shares photos from Italy and France while ex-fiancé Rodgers publicly addresses their past relationship.
Danica Patrick is enjoying a European vacation with her boyfriend as her ex-fiancé, Aaron Rodgers, publicly addresses details of their past relationship.
Patrick, who has not directly responded to Rodgers' recent comments, posted photos on Instagram from trips to the Amalfi Coast and Saint-Tropez. The images show her with friends, enjoying wine, and visiting Ravello.
"Along with the best company we went back to Amalfi, and it was beautiful! Learned about pre phylloxera wine made in Ravello. And fell in love with St Tropez! Don’t be fooled, I def don’t eat salad," Patrick captioned one of her posts, referencing her attendance at the Burning Man event in the past.
Rodgers, the former NFL MVP, addressed his past relationship with Patrick during an appearance on the "Not just Football" podcast. He responded to comments Patrick made in a May 2025 interview on "The Sage Steele Show," where she described their relationship as "emotionally abusive" and stated that Rodgers left "a trail of blood" when they broke up in 2020.
"So I’m this monster of a partner and it’s just f–king horses–t," Rodgers said on the podcast. "Number one: Why are you still talking about me? It’s been years."
Rodgers recounted that Patrick was depressed and "not fun to be around" after her retirement from NASCAR in late 2017. He stated that he stayed with her to be a good partner, but eventually, "there was no intimacy; there was nothing."
He also described a conversation where Patrick asked if he wanted to buy a house in Malibu together, to which he said no. Rodgers said this led to counseling and that they were "stuck together" when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. He disputed her account of the breakup, saying, "She tells a story that she was so blindsided and getting left by you, and that he leaves a trail of blood around him. And I’m like, what are you talking about? That’s not what happened."
Rodgers and Patrick ended their relationship in July 2020, after two years together. Rodgers also discussed his breakup with ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley on the same podcast episode.
