Dallas Police Seek Clues in Disappearance of 13-Year-Old Natalie Armstrong
Surveillance footage shows the missing teen with an unidentified individual shortly before she vanished.
Dallas police are seeking information regarding the disappearance of 13-year-old Natalie Armstrong, who was last seen on surveillance footage at the SMU/Mockingbird Station of Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) on October 21. The footage shows Armstrong walking with an unidentified person.
Armstrong is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes. According to police, she was later seen on the 9300 block of Whistle Stop Place in Dallas around 10:08 p.m. on the same evening.
Natalie Armstrong's mother, Megan Bernhardt, has stated that her daughter has been diagnosed with autism and is on the spectrum. Bernhardt mentioned that Armstrong had been experiencing school evaluations that may have been a trigger for her running away. She also noted that Natalie experiences anxiety and depression and is at risk of life-threatening medical complications without her daily medication.
The Dallas Police Department released images from the railroad surveillance footage showing Armstrong with the unidentified individual. Authorities have not identified the person seen with her but suggest it could be another minor. The police department confirmed that officers have been actively searching for Natalie since the critical missing information was disseminated over the weekend.
Alfonso Solis, founder of the community organization Send Me DFW, which specializes in search and rescue for missing persons, is assisting in the search. Solis stated that Armstrong is believed to be on foot and familiar with the DART rail system. He urged residents in the 75231 zip code and surrounding areas to check their properties, including yards and sheds.
Solis also noted that Armstrong has no phone, no social circle, and no social media activity since she left home. He confirmed he is collaborating with authorities to locate the teenager.
Anyone with information about Natalie Armstrong's whereabouts is asked to contact the Dallas Police Department or the Dallas Police Youth Operations/Missing Persons Unit at 214-671-4268, referencing case number 155505-2026.
